Club4Climate and its figurehead Dr. Earth will launch Surya in King’s Cross, a mecca to environmental sustainability.
Features include a dance-floor incorporating materials such as quartz crystals, a wind turbine and solar energy system, and the dancing motion of clubbers to generate part of the club’s energy requirements: Exclusive use of only poly-carbon cups, the most environmentally friendly available drinking apparatus, recycling of all glass, metal, plastic and paper products used at the bar. All customers attending the club who can demonstrate that they travelled there by foot, cycle or public transport receive free entry. I forgot to say: you are supposed to dress in green.
I am sure this is an proper initiative for “sustainable built environment” with ethics in marketing, but this idea of “green customers” walking down the street to the Club is estetically unsustainable. Probably I lack of social responsability.
